Primary sources come first: the governing bodies of the sport (World Athletics, USATF), U.S. standards agencies (NIST) and peer-reviewed research. Third-party pages are used only to complement them, and always named.

Numbers

Every pace, split and prediction in our guides is produced by the same library that runs the calculators, so the article and the tool always agree. Times are rounded to the nearest second.

Use of artificial intelligence

AI tools help draft and review text. No article is published before its numbers and rules are checked against the sources.

Corrections

When we find a mistake, we fix the article or the calculator and show the update date on the page.
